What is Yoga?

Yoga is actions for achieving particular task. According to ancient books, Yoga means connection with universe. Yogic is person who try to develop his mind power for achieve goals in personal & spiritual life. Yogic is sagacious hermit or seer who stick to yoga. Actually yoga is not meditation, group or exercises. It is way of self-control. Person self-control his mind for achieve good health, happiness, relax & wisdom. In Sri Lanka, people use yoga for develop mind power, cure diseases, reduce stress & develop stamina for achieves personal life goals. In this web page we discuss how we use herbal medicine or Ayurvadha, yoga & meditation for success our life. People know more about yoga exercises. Hence we don't describe those in this web site. Anyhow, firstly we give you some name of yoga poses which are suit for some common sicknesses :

Yoga Asana or Yoga Poses are important to cure diseases & remove laziness of yogic. Normally yogic don't give first place to exercises, but some steady & calm exercises help to cure lot of sicknesses. But sometimes yogic do meditations longtime therefore his mind becomes lazy. So remove such negative feelings yoga asana are very helpful to everyone. Also to do meditation, some yoga asana help to keep concentrated mind so longtime. Yoga poses are inherited by poses of animals, natural objects, star groups & own experiments of some yogic like Siva. However to get best result, you want to stay even 30 minute in one pose. But in first time 10 minutes is ok. Later you can increases time. It is not good to do yoga poses as soon as you take meals. Also you must do asana after bath. But as soon as you finished asana, it is not good to bath. You must relax even 30 minutes. When there have strong cool, hot, wind or rains such days also not good for do yoga asana. Best time periods are 4am to 7am and or 5pm to 8pm. However to do yoga asana you need well experienced teacher & his or her full guidance. Good Asana for Buddhist meditation are : Vadjrasana, Padmasana, Sukhasana & Siddasana. In meditative poses there have way to keep fingers called Mudras. Mudras help to locate energy in chakra into one point in astral body

People recently start to discuss how herbal food or vegan meals protect our body health. But as advance yoga & ayurvedic teachings, foods what we take not only influence to our body health, but also it help to our decision making, job, stresses, brain power, mind power, education & social links. Famous verse in yoga is "When eating fresh foods, internal body parts also become fresh, when internal body becomes fresh, memory also develop. Developing memory power helps to increase capacity of brain. This helps to remove all bonds & get rid from rebirth cycle". Some food stuffs are help to create dull mood after eat them while some foods are help to grow stresses. Here we give basic food stuffs which can use in your daily meals for your own success.

  • Half tempered milk, ghee, cheese, yogurts, curds, oils from ghee, butter, chocolates & bees honey - These foods are helping to concentrate mind & developing mind power via meditations.
  • Red rice, barley, wheat, chick peas, soya, green grams, other type of grams & ulundu are helping to grown muscles, fighting with viruses & developing strengths in body.
  • Mangos, woodapples, pineapples, avocado, bananas, sweet oranges, papaya, graphs, apricot, guava, melon & myrobalans are best fruits for develop mind power. Apples & pears are good for clean & strong up your tooth. But fruits which have high sour taste or fruits are more ripped or too much young, are not suit to eat. Because those help to confuse our mind & develop tension or stress.
  • Every vegetables & greens leaves are good for body health. Leaves help to grown blood cells. Those must be fresh & newly take off from plants. Also old or ripped vegetables are not suit to eat.
  • Fruit juices or vegetable juices also very important for stimulate brain cells. Fresh fruits & vegetables help to strong our immunity.
  • Peppers & ginger are good for fresh our mind & well function for internal body parts. It removes phlegm. But other spices such as salts, mustard, chilies, tamarinds, garlic & onion are help to grown stress in mind. Chatnies & sources are very bad for kindneys & urine system.
  • Porridges created from herbal leaves, soya milk & red rice are healthy food in morning times. Also vegetable soups good as dinner time meals. Soups & porridges are help to cure sicknesses.
  • Another good morning time meal, which help to increase mind power is milk rice made from red rice & coconut milk combine with green gram, bees honey & grapes. This is can called as “All Yogic Food”.
  • Bananas, mango, avocado, ginger, ginseng, rosemary, cloves, chocolates, ghee, bees honey, myrobalans, mints, figs, fenugreek & mace are called foods that related to increase sexual capacity in the body. Mixer of ghee, milk & honey are said to be best energizer before doing sexual intercourse. These kind of meals are called as Herbal Aphrodisiacs.
  • Alcoholic drinks help to destroy brain cells which lead to stress, tension, foolishness & insane. All people who like to spiritual life must get rid from alcohol & smoking.
  • Meat, eggs & fish are called foods which are help to make lazy our mind & drop us into sleepy state. These kinds of foods help to reduce brain power and increase insaneness.

Kundalini Power

Every yogi’s main aim is achieving Kundalini power. This power is found by god Siva. From our research, we found god Siva was human in his past life who did experiment in meditation systems. From his research he found Kudalini power which located in every humans & animals. Then he taught this power to all yogis, hermits & monks. Also he helped to poor people from this ultimate power. Cause of his merit, now he became as powerful god. So in yoga Kundalini is power located in human body as serpent. Kundalini meant serpent. This power serpent sleeps in our sacral region (region between sexual organs & urine system). Every animal or human are combined with astral body, physical body & perceptions body. Astral body links with physical body via Nadhi. 

Nadhi means channels or tunnels which are carrying life energies between astral body & physical body. There have more than 300,000 nadhi channels in astral body. Actually nadhi means vibrators, which creates astral body. Nadhi & life energies are carrying on as vibrating waves. But mainly only three nadhis are very important to understand. Those are Susumna, Idha & Pingala. Here have short description about these nadhis. In our head there have hole called Brahma Randra which connect astral body with physical body via silver code. When this code is broken down, then we say die. When we die, our consciousness goes via this hole. Also ghosts & devils come into our body via this hole. These nadhis are not what we learn in herbal medicine as inside physical body. 

  • Susunma nadhi is like fire flame, somewhat red color. Inside this nadhi there have another two nadhi called Chitra & Vajra. Vajra nadhi is colorful like sun while inside it has Chitra nadhi which is white color. Whole Susunma nadhi is located along with spine. When Kundalini is emitted, it goes on Chitra nadhi to hole of Brahma Randra. Then it again absorbed to whole body. This Chitra nadhi is white color but combine with five colors & it is called as main nadhi for link with gods. So Susunma nadhi also called as Brahma nadhi.
  • Idha nadhi go along with right testes to right nostrils. In Mahayana Buddhism it called as Nadhi of moon. This nadhi also pure white color.
  • Pingala nadhi go along with left testes to left nostrils. In Mahayana Buddhism it called as Nadhi of sun. Pingala nadhi has color & shape like sun.
  • In yoga has breathing system called Pranayama which means, by controlling nadhi of Idha & pingala we can fresh our life energy & life time. To Control nadhi we must control breathing along left & right nostrils.

In our astral body there have Chakras or lotuses. Chakra means group of nadhis which located in particular place in astral body. These are mainly energy spheres. There have lot of sub energy spheres in our astral body. But primarily there have seven. Each chakra belongs to particular task of body health, body functions, ESP powers in mind such as divine-eye & telepathy. Kundalini is hiding on first chakra called Muladara. When we do meditations & merit works these kundalini is powered & little by little emitted to other six chakras. When it comes to final chakra called as Sahassa, it emitted from Brahma Randra hole. As same time again it absorbed by body then yogic attain Kundalini power. Then he can do marvelous things from his mind power. In yoga, human being means small packet or show piece of universal energies. Those powers are mainly : 

  • Anima : Collapse own body as small as atoms or more small
  • Mahima : Expand own body as large as huge mountain or more rate
  • Laghima : Soft own body as wind & float in the sky
  • Garima : Strong own body as weighty as earth or more
  • Prapththi : Touch or stay or go near to sun & moon
  • Prakamayaa : Get own liked things as soon as mentally wish
  • Isathwa : Create anything from mind power even living thing such as nymphs
  • Wasithwa : Control element of solids, liquids, air & fire

Here have some details of chakras :

Yoga Chakras are particular places in astral body which have large amount of nadhis. There have main seven chakras. When kundalini is emitted it combine all chakras together & then yogic attain ultimate power in universe. In kundalini yoga each human being consider as energy droplet among whole energy in universe. However there have more chakras than below seven.

  • Muladara Chakra / Adara Chakra : This chakra has four nadhis. Shape is like square. Color is yellow. This chakra gives power to other six chakras. Earth mattered. Gives power to identify smelling. Ida, Pingala & Susunma nadhi are tied inside this chakra. Kundalini serpent is coiled & located in this chakra. 
  • Suvadishtana Chakra : This chakra has six nadhis. Shape is like semi-circle. Color is pure white. Water mattered. Gives power to identify tastes. 
  • Manipura Chakra : This chakra has ten nadhis. Shape is like triangle. Color is red. Fire mattered. Gives power to identify images. When kundalini comes into this chakra yogic can delay his death.
  • Anaahatha Chakra : This chakra has 12 nadhis. Shape is like hexagon. Color is aura like. Air mattered. Gives power to identify touching. Telepathy is achieved when kundalini comes into this chakra.
  • Vishuddhi Chakra : This chakra has 16 nadhis. Shape is like circle. Color is blue. Space mattered. Gives power to identify sounds. When kundalini get into this chakra yogic can talk & hear sound of gods.
  • Aghana Chakra : This chakra has only two nadhis. Shape is like circle. Color is like full moon. Mind mattered. Gives power to identify & thinking. Devine-eye is achieved when kundalini comes into this chakra.
  • Sahassara Chakra : This is consider as same as lotus with 1000 slices. Color is invisible. With meditation & merit works, kundalini is vibrating & little by little emitted from Muladara chakra to Sahassara chakra via above four chakras. In Sahassara chakra kundalini is emitted to Brahma Randra.

There are lot of ways to wake up kundalini & chakras. In daily life we can wake up kundalini from make clear our nadhi system. As Buddhist person, we can do via our normal merit works such as Bodhi Puja, Offer flowers to Buddha in home every day, Say parittas, Doing merit works such as alms or cloths giving to Buddhist monks & use Buddhist meditations. Here have some methods :

  • Via pranayama breathing system & certain asana exercises
  • From doing meditation, limiting & controlling mind
  • From get help from gods after friendly with them
  • From analytical thinking & using brain power
  • By chanting mantras, pujas, worshiping & observe precepts
  • Yoga teacher who have kundalini power can transfer his power to wake up kundalini of his students
  • Some people wake kundalini automatically causes from past life merit mamma forces

Meditation Of Breathing   [ Top ]

Buddhism

In Hindu yoga there has meditation called Pranayama or controlling inhale & exhale. This is used to emit powers via Ida-Pingala nadhis & fire Muladara chakra. This will heat up help to wake up kundalili power. However in Buddhist system we don't used Pranayame but we uses meditation of breathing. This is called Anapanasathi Meditation. Also this is the all Buddha's meditation & silent way to achieving wisdom. Breathing meditation helps to stop swaying state of mind & brings it into calm state. Also it reduces tension, stress, sadness, angry & tires. You may need good teacher to practice this meditation. You can do this meditation on yoga poses of Vadjrasana, Padmasana, Sukhasana & Siddasana. Here we give full translates of Anapanasthi Meditation from Sutra Pitakaya, the sutras called Sathi Pattana. "And how does a monk remain focused on the body in & of itself?" 

 "There is the case where a monk -- having gone to the wilderness, to the shade of a tree, or to an empty building -- sits down folding his legs crosswise, holding his body erect and setting mindfulness to the fore [lit: the front of the chest]. Always mindful, he breathes in; mindful he breathes out. 

"Breathing in long, he discerns that he is breathing in long; or breathing out long, he discerns that he is breathing out long. Or breathing in short, he discerns that he is breathing in short; or breathing out short, he discerns that he is breathing out short. He trains himself to breathe in sensitive to the entire body and to breathe out sensitive to the entire body. He trains himself to breathe in calming bodily fabrication and to breathe out calming bodily fabrication. Just as a skilled turner or his apprentice, when making a long turn, discerns that he is making a long turn, or when making a short turn discerns that he is making a short turn; in the same way the monk, when breathing in long, discerns that he is breathing in long; or breathing out short, he discerns that he is breathing out short... He trains himself to breathe in calming bodily fabrication, and to breathe out calming bodily fabrication. 

"In this way he remains focused internally on the body in & of itself, or externally on the body in & of itself, or both internally & externally on the body in & of itself. Or he remains focused on the phenomenon of origination with regard to the body, on the phenomenon of passing away with regard to the body, or on the phenomenon of origination & passing away with regard to the body. Or his mindfulness that 'There is a body' is maintained to the extent of knowledge & remembrance. And he remains independent, unsustained by (not clinging to) anything in the world. This is how a monk remains focused on the body in & of itself."

Yoga with Mother Nature

Person, who does yoga, must keep physical & mental environments clean & neat way. He or she no needs to tell world that you are yogic who eat vegetables only. He no needs stay artificial life or mentally created life. Lay person who does yoga or meditation must keep those works without break down their family life. Also yogic must follow higher mental rules called as five precepts for fight with own mind. He or she must collect knowledge, exerting mind in right time, encouraging mind with laziness, controlling mind with angry or sex or sleepy, avoiding bad peoples, consult teachers in right time, limiting mind for unnecessary likenesses, always keep concentrating mind & build self-confidences for spiritual goals. He or she can build or rent his house near river, lake, under the mountain, near the forest or on the top of mountain. Those natural sceneries give him extra courage for doing meditations. Yogic can be participated their family members for his or her path, but no need to force them. Yogic doesn't need to stay crowded or complex environments like towns areas. His yoga room must has fresh air (must have two or three windows) & without many household goods. In this room you can keep small book rack of yoga & meditation books, must hang picture of Buddha & small mattress to do yoga asana or meditations. In morning or evening times yogic want to light incense stick like sandalwood or jasmine for stimulate your spiritual feelings. As well as room, you must clean & wash your body to practice yoga. Yogic needs to keep his mind strongly by removing following negative counterparts :

  • Bad Climates : Too much hot, cool, air & wind that harmful to your body health.
  • Bad Asanas : Your yoga poses must be comfortable to you.
  • Bad foods : Food that harmful to physical health & disliked meals discourages our mind.
  • Bad Friends : People who discourages your spiritual path.
  • Bad Talks : Useless talking makes insane your mind such as politics, ghosts, sex, etc...
  • Bad Places : Difficult places to attain foods & medicines, also difficult to meet your yoga teacher.
  • Bad Crowds : Places there have lot of visitors, noisiness & attractions into lust.
